My friend in Paris finally replied to me - he *is* able to meet me later this month, and so I've quickly booked the train-tickets and the hotel. It will be great to see him again.

Here is the latest picture of the house in Chiang Mai.
Soon the roof structue will be constructed, and then the outside brickwork will be completed.
The building-work has slowed down because it has been raining regularly, but the Building-Manager is convinced that the house will still be finished "on time".
